Do It Yourself

As a tinkerer, the concept of DIY, for me, is not about cutting cost. It is half about learning and all about the Not Invented Here syndrome. It is not out of pride (I have none) but out of paranoia and compulsive personality. Even though I am not at all capable at implementing things, I just cannot stand something built out of my sight.

The end result, as anyone can guess, is something worse. Perhaps better only in spelling and source code indentation style consistency. But writing code that I understand from the bottom up to its entirety gives me the confidence. I empowered this system, and I am empowered, through creation, as the sole controller of the environment. The God.

I should write a crawler for the second version of my webpages someday.
