Vintage Status

Nostalgia is something I can relate to with my whole heart. But when products of an era are marketed using the fact that it is “vintage”, whatever it may mean, this becomes weird.

I feel like the sellers are taking advantage of nostalgia to raise prices, waiting for the rich-and-not-well-informed “collector” to fall for them.

The extra money is well spent, if the product is well preserved or serviced by an expert. Otherwise I think using auction sites really does not worth the trouble and risk.
