Don't Be the Naysayer

Don't be the naysayer.

You have every right to ignore things you hate. There is no need for you to voice your negative impressions, unless when you care and want to give advice or constructive arguments in discussions. Otherwise it is a waste of time for you and for anyone who has to read through.

In my opinion, this is a rational for the 建前・本音 split in Japanese culture. The mindset keeps the society stable by people forming public personas, at the cost of private emotional overhead.

But there is no doubt that most people are already taking a different set of personalities, when using the Internet. I would not believe that such poor signal to noise ratio is present in face-to-face conversations.
